Steiff Teddies come in so many styles, sizes, and colours — it’s hard to choose just one! But we’re especially fond of our Elmar Teddy, a traditionally designed bear with an updated, cuddly soft coat of durable synthetic polyester.
Like all the finest Steiff Teddies, Elmar is five-way jointed. He’s also softly stuffed to make him extra huggable.
One of Elmar’s special features is his hunchback. This is a characteristic which is very similar to how bears really look like.
Elmar has shoe-button-style eyes and is entirely handmade in our very own workshops. He’s machine washable and ultra-durable. From the company that invented the Teddy bear in 1902.

Every original Steiff animal with the world-famous trademark, the Steiff “Button in Ear”, shows that it comes from one of the best families – and every Steiff Teddy bear and Steiff animal proudly wears an ear tag as a clearly recognisable identification. Both big and small Steiff fans immediately recognise the yellow Steiff ear tag with red writing.
