My Story…

Babies are one of life's greatest gifts, and I was blessed with four bundles of joy, 3 boys and their very out-numbered sister. Not only did they change my life, but they also opened me up to a world full of baby treasures. I admit, I'm a sucker for keepsakes.

My journey into the world of keepsakes began in November 2008, when I delivered my first healthy baby boy who steals my heart daily. From the very moment I found out I was pregnant, it was almost instinctual to try to absorb and preserve every amazing bit of him. One of the major highlights during my pregnancy was attending my ultrasound appointments and hearing my baby’s heartbeat. The anticipation and the joy of hearing the first “swoosh, swoosh” was one of the most magical moments of my life.

The Beginning…

I began to organise fundraising events for kids with cancer when I met 3 year old Jai. Jai had been diagnosed with high risk Neuroblastoma cancer and so I decided to raise funds to help him and his beautiful family. As our friendship developed, I wanted to give Jai's mum, Hayley, a unique gift that she could treasure forever. Remembering how I felt at my ultrasound appointments, I thought it would be wonderful if Hayley could record Jai's heartbeat and keep the recording in a cuddly teddy bear. After discovering an untapped market for recordable stuffed animals, much of my research unveiled stuffed animals that did not meet my standards of quality for such a special keepsake. There was nothing contemporary and stylish for modern parents wanting to record these precious life events. From that moment, I decided to create my own line of heartbeat animals, making them available to every expectant mother.

Our Company…

In 2017, I noticed a gap in the Australian market that provided a unique product. The idea was simple: record the sound of your baby's heartbeat and keep the recording in an adorable plush animal. After realising its potential, that idea became a reality when Baby Beats officially launched on 9th December 2018 – yep, just a baby! Since then, Baby Beats is a thriving business supplying more than 100 stores in destinations including Australia, New Zealand, and the Middle East.

I am very passionate about what I do and I'm proud to say all Baby Beats products are manufactured to my own designs and packaged here in Australia. I make sure Baby Beats is always evolving, providing customers with the best online experience as well as product experience.

My Personal Goal…

It is part of every Teddy Bear's nature to give you hugs when comfort is needed, provide courage when you need strength, or just to put a smile on your face. We take our bears and their responsibilities very seriously, which is why We Give. As a caring, modern company, we donate to reputable children's charities and organisations. We also work closely with families dealing with loss and sadness.

The future…

It has been an exciting journey and I am beyond thankful for the many doors that have opened for Baby Beats in its first year of business. I am also incredibly grateful to have the most loving family, amazing mentors, and loyal customers who keep coming back for more. I thank you all for your support, belief and being part of my dream.

I have many ideas and dreams for where I want to go from here, but there's no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs.
